Technical Info

For all you gear-heads who just itch to know what kit someone is using - I know you, I'm one too. It's fine as long as you remember that it's not the camera but the photographer that's important, their vision and how they interpret it, rather than what equipment they use - and don't even get me started on the ridiculous film vs digital debate!

I started with an Olympus OM1n and I loved it so much that I still have it - a great camera. However, the immediacy of digital, coupled with the ability to easily complete my own developing rather than trusting someone else, won me over. All the images on this site are taken with a Canon EOS 10D or the truly amazing Canon EOS 5D. I use the Sigma 12-24mm EX lens, which is a fantastic piece of kit, and the Canon 24-105mm L lens. The 5D being full frame, I rarely find the need to go wider than 24mm these days. I always shoot RAW for maximum quality and the ability to adjust white balance easily and non-destructively, and process images in Photoshop CS2.
